Our Activities

Our “Men’s Shed” offers: -

  • A place where men can meet to enjoy their hobbies or learn new ones, make friends and enjoy each other’s company.
  • A workshop area with benches, a social area to relax in and a walled garden.
  • Somewhere for members to
    • Work on their own projects, at their own pace and in a safe, friendly environment
    • Work on projects for the community
    • Simply to be there to enjoy the friendship and companionship of others.
  • A place for skill sharing and informal learning.
  • A place for men to help and support themselves and others and to make a contribution to the community

Our Workshop area

We have a variety of hand and power tools as well as a band saw, table saw, scroll saw and pillar drill, sufficient for most woodworking projects

Our Computer Area

We have a computer, large screen, printer and internet access for members to research their projects or other interests. We run regular workshops for members with little or no computer experience

Our Walled Garden

Our walled garden with raised beds, flower and vegetable plots, a pond, fruit trees and an emphasis on wildlife. Plenty to get involved in and even a cabin with a veranda to sit, relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Some of the things we've done to help the community

  • We made a wheelchair accessible picnic table for Severn Gorge Trust
  • We constructed the covered porch at the workshop at the Green Wood Centre in Coalbrookdale
  • We made noticeboards, planters, bird-boxes, bee hotels and bird tables for various groups
  • We’ve supported the Telford Repair Café by repairing various items and saved them going to landfill
